Damon has been shortlisted by The Writers' Guild of Great Britain awards in the Best Long Running TV Series 2018 for an episode of Coronation Street which he wrote.
It was episode 9251 which Corriepedia tells us was Eva and Aidan's wedding day back in September 2017. It was also the episode where Rita was in hospital for her brain tumour scan and she was singing along to another patient playing the electric organ. You can find out more about the episode here.
The awards ceremony takes place on January 15, 2018.
