The previews are in – super early as Corrie gears up for Christmas - for next week’s Coronation Street. And Chesney rubs Daniel’s face in it by proposing to Sinead.
Chesney pops the question to Sinead in front of a devastated Daniel. When Sinead apologises for Chesney’s insensitivity Chesney is unnerved and clutching his stomach fakes food poisoning running out of the Bistro saying someone must have tampered with his meal.
When Sinead wonders if it was Daniel, Chesney acts shocked at the thought but tells Robert to sack Daniel or he will tell the press about the food poisoning.
Daniel confronts Chesney in the Rovers backyard and says he is jealous because underneath Chesney knows Sinead is still in love with him!
Sinead’s stunned when she finds Chesney with blood oozing out of his face. Chesney refuses to let her call the police so she tells Ken and Tracy that Daniel attacked Chesney.

This is beyond stupid. The producer and writers have lost the plot. All this has made me NOT want to watch Corrie over the next few weeks.
I thought Sinead and Chesney were already engaged as she proposed to him before he left for Portugal to get Joseph?
So why are the writers recycling this again?!ridiculous!
