It's sadly been
reported that comedian and actor Sean Hughes has died aged 51. Sean appeared in Coronation Street in June and July back in 2007 as the smooth-talking Irishman Pat Stanaway. He wooed Eileen Grimshaw but she thumped him and dumped him when she cottoned on to his philandering after seeing text messages on his mobile phone from several other women.
Actress Sue Cleaver who plays Eileen tweeted: "RIP Sean Hughes so so sad, will always remember the fun times we had." The BBC report can be found here.
