Street has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Publicity Manager
to join the press team at the programme’s production base in Trafford,
Manchester.
Essentially, the role will involve general day to
day coordination of press interviews, writing press information to be
published on the ITV Press Centre, copy writing and précising of
storyline documents for forward planning purposes. You will also arrange
interviews for the soaps and TV listings magazines, and conduct and
transcribe interviews for issue to the the media.
As the
programme’s Assistant Publicity Manager you will accompany actors on
photo shoots, arrange travel for interviews and shoots, organise set
visits, photocalls and press screenings during high points in the
storylines to generate press coverage. You will also handle calls from
the media and publicity requests when the Publicity Managers are away
from the office on interviews and photo shoots.
It is essential
that you have good writing and organisational skills with a proven track
record in press and publicity. This role would suit individuals who are
intent on a career in PR and Publicity.
The successful
applicant would need to be flexible with their working hours and will be
required to attend Awards ceremonies in London and also to travel for
photo shoots and interviews.
