Coronation Street tonight, Sunday 24 March, one-hour special
THE FINGER OF BLAME POINTS AT JASON. As Stella, Karl and Sunita are rushed to hospital one is left fighting for their life. Jason’s at Stella’s bedside as Dev keeps vigil over Sunita, telling her how much he loves her and begging her to wake up. But as one casualty is confirmed talk on the street turns to who may have started the fire. Jason’s horrified as early investigations point to the fire starting with the electrics in the cellar. Is Jason to blame?
PAUL FEELS RESPONSIBLE. Eileen’s worried when Paul insists on returning to work. But when he’s sent home he admits he blames himself for the death at the Rovers.
KIRSTY’S ON THE EDGE. Julie tells Tina she’s had Ruby for the night as Kirsty had to attend a family crisis. Tina reveals she’s lying as she saw Kirsty at No.9 whilst the Rovers burned. Julie thinks Tina must be mistaken but how will Kirsty react when Tina confronts her?
Elsewhere Depressed Chesney refuses to go to work but when Katy brings Joseph round for the night he’s cheered to see his son. Can Katy and Chesney find a way forward?
KARL PUTS JASON IN THE FRAME. Jason protests his innocence, adamant he didn’t cause the fire, but it’s clear Gloria and Eva reckon he’s to blame. The doctor warns Dev to prepare for the worst as Sunita is unlikely to survive. Convinced that Karl started the fire, Jason voices his suspicions, but Karl is being hailed as the hero of the hour. Meanwhile Karl’s keen to blame Jason and tells Dev about the initial findings. How will an emotional Dev react to the news?
RELATIONS ARE STRAINED FOR THE GRIMSHAWS. Jason quizzes Paul about the fire investigation, insisting he can’t be to blame as he did everything by the book. But Paul disagrees and tells Jason that it’s down to him that a friend’s dead and Sunita’s hanging by a thread.
JULIE STANDS BY KIRSTY. Kirsty asks Julie to babysit, but when Julie suggests she’s finding it difficult to cope on her own, Kirsty takes offence and throws her out. Julie’s bemused at Kirsty’s sudden mood swing but as Ruby cries in her cot will Kirsty reach boiling point?
Elsewhere Roy and Hayley suggest Sylvia should join the One o’clock Club. Initially Sylvia’s against it until she realises it’s a chance to fleece the others at the whist drive. Ryan tells Katy he misses her and suggests they go for a drink. Will Katy agree as Chesney watches on?

"Depressed" Chesney - I dont think I can stand it - that face is enough to sour the mile in your tea. Great kid star but not so great now he has grown up. Write him out
How are we supposed to tell his depressed face from his usual one?
