Should this rover return for good?

I don't know about you but I'm really enjoying seeing Charles Lawson back on screen as Jim McDonald. I've always loved Jim and his relationships with Liz and Steve. Charlie Lawson always steps up to the mark.

Jim is a proper bloke in the style of Len Fairclough, flawed and less than perfect but very watchable. He also has a great screen presence and wonderful chemistry with both Beverley Callard and Simon Gregson. We know that Jim's return is only temporary but he will thankfully share scenes with Liz and Steve before his latest stint ends.

As far as I am concerned there is never going to be any other man for Liz. Despite all they've done to one another over the years, the bond is still there. So the question I'm asking is, would you like to see Jim McDonald return to Corrie on a more permanent basis?

I'd love to see him get out of jail (it was easy for Tracy, so why not for Jim?) and turf Tony out of Liz's back parlour. Jim is a Corrie legend, going back to one of the programme's real golden eras.

So what do you think? Will Liz and Tony go the distance or would you love to see Jim back for good? Catch yourself on Elizabeth!

Bring back Big Jim for good! - Bonnie in the Cariboo

I like Jim but I wouldn't want him paired up again with Liz. Old territory; more mileage in Jim living on the Street and reminiscing with Liz. Theirs would be the affair that never got off the ground again. It doesn't mean they can't love each other passionately but they'd know they couldn't live together. They would never give in to temptation as that would ruin everything. The chemistry between them could be electric and it would be fun to see their other halves get jealous. Lots of stories to be told there.

What if they brought Jim back but he'd accepted there was no future with Liz - she's spent enough time telling him that. He starts work, presumably at the builders yard, and meets someone else. They have a great relationship and Lizzie becomes the jealous one. After all even though she's hammered the point home with Jim that she won't take him back she's also known she could have him anytime she wants.

Oh God yes, I've been saying for years that they should bring Jim back permanently. It might be good to see him attached to another woman and have Liz get jealous. But then again, I do believe Jim and Liz belong together.

As much as I have enjoyed the scenes with Big Jim and yes he does have a great screen presence - not sure if bringing him back to the Street would work - we have been through it all before with him and Liz. I also cant see why nobody has copped on that Peter is in the same prison as Jim is and commented on it. Does Steve have the prison no on his direct dial, he seemed to know immediately who it was when Peter rang his mobile from a phone inside the jail yesterday.

Steve had the prison number on his phone, so his reaction must have been thiking it was Jim calling him

I have been the unofficial leader of the 'Bring Back Jim Club' for years! I just want him back with his original personality though,-not this evil prison guy that he has become!
