No one can yet beat Dave Dutton's claim to Coronation Street fame, as the man who's acted 11 different roles on the cobbles.
Read all about him here.
But there's a good article on The Radio Times by journalist and Corrie fan David Brown, who writes about Weathefield rovers who return.
This was no doubt prompted by an article in this week's Sun which used twitter comments saying fans were angry that actor Joe Duttine had returned to Corrie as one character when we'd already seen him play another. Well, if you follow us and read us regularly, you'd have found that out some weeks ago.
Anyway, back to the Radio Times where they mention some of the actors who have turned up in Corrie more than once in different roles, but none of them beat Dave Dutton!
Have a look at some of the pics here, it's good.

Glenn Cunningham has played Aidan Critchley's father as well as a reporter from the Gazette. In the latter role, Ken met with him in secret to leak the story about Peter trying to open a bar, in an effort to stop him.
I don't see what the big deal is really. The prior roles weren't major ones, it's not as if they brought back Julie Goodyear to play Gloria Price or something like that.
Agree with Tvor. Beverley Callard played the wife of one of Brian Tilsley's mates, a few years before she was cast as Liz McDonald. Like I said, no biggie.
Sorry but the comments about Dave Dutton having played most roles are wrong - Ann Aris has played twelve parts on the programme.

By the way, I should have mentioned that Corriepedia has listed 68 members of the regular cast over the years who have played guest roles previously and - so far another 653 actors who have played guest multiple roles, and that research isn't finished yet.
Very interesting about Ann Aris, thanks for that. I feel a blog post coming on!
My pleasure!
