Actor William Roache, who plays Coronation Street's Ken Barlow, is doing his bit for sick and injured pets by urging everyone to hold a Blue Cross Tea Party. The official date is Friday 11 May but you can hold your own whenever you want – or join Blue Cross at one of their events around the country.
William
says: “As the proud owner of three Jack Russells and three ponies, I
know how much love and joy animals bring to your life – I wouldn’t be
without them.
“But not all pets are lucky enough to have a safe
and happy home. Blue Cross is a wonderful charity but they rely on
donations from the public to provide this vital care for our nation’s
pets. You can help by taking part in the Blue Cross Tea Party.
“We all love a cup of tea and a piece of cake so why not hold a
tea party for family, friends or work colleagues and ask for donations
for this worthy cause? All the funds raised will help Blue Cross
care for animals with nowhere else to turn. Just £25 will cover a
kitten's vital first vaccinations so every penny really does count.”
Hold your own Tea Party or go to one of the Blue Cross events.
